Your Mindset Around Fear – 4 Stages of a Fear-based Rabbit Hole

A rabbit hole is a place of fear or constriction that is deeply entrenched in your subconscious shaping and influencing the circumstances around you that bring you more of what you don’t want in your life rather than those things you do want. It influences every decision you are making right now in your life and what you are attracting to your business.


As many of you learned in the movie, “What the Bleep,” rabbit holes influence the quality of your relationships, your chances for financial success and will cut off your powerful connection to the universal energy flow from an aligned space. They are an indicator that you are not in alignment with your soul or your own internal power source, and you have cut off your connection to the universal energy flow.

There are four stages to rabbit hole: you must be conscious of all four stages and how they are operating in your life right now or how they might have in the past so that you can recognize one in case you get triggered into one in the future.

The first two stages lead you to the rabbit hole. Once you understand these four stages you can catch yourself at the second stage and learn to quickly navigate around the potential rabbit hole before you fall in, and quickly switch your focus from lack back to a place of expansion.

The second two stages show you that you have already fallen in, and that you are already making all the decisions in your life from a place of fear instead of a place of trust.

Stage One: The Trigger

A trigger can be a situation, an event or an internal or external conversation with someone else which leads you to a state of constriction or fear. We are now surrounded by triggers in the world…news of the volatile stock market, businesses closing and corporate layoffs. All the news right now feeds into the lower vibration of fear which can trigger you, if you let it. On a personal level, a trigger can be a conversation about your finances with your spouse or a friend calling you worried about their own finances.

Stage Two: The Internal Dialogue

As soon as you are triggered to a place of fear, lack or constriction, this is always accompanied by an internal dialogue at a subconscious and conscious level. The internal dialogue which leads to a rabbit hole will always be judgmental language.
Internal dialogue such as I am a failure. Why should I try this, it won’t work anyways, who would pay me for this, I am a fraud. This is the negative chatter you created for yourself as a child that got stored away in your subconscious. Anytime you get triggered by a situation that resembles how you felt as a child your subconscious will pull out this negative dialogue and play it in your conscious mind.

Stage Three: The Emotions and Core Belief

Once the internal dialogue starts in your head, you have a choice. You can listen to that dialogue and buy into the constrictive energy and believe this negative chatter is truth. This disconnects you from your soul and from the universal energy flow of the grid work of expansion. When you do that you fall into the rabbit hole. The rabbit hole will always be accompanied by an emotion or feeling and it will trigger a core belief that is your biggest fear.

Emotional states in a rabbit hole:

Lack of clarity
Anxiety
Fear
Stress
Confusion
Depression
Hopelessness
Loss of passion
Frustration
Feelings of failure, worthlessness or low self esteem
Anger at your current circumstances
Impatience
Lack of compassion
Sadness
Overwhelm

Core Beliefs and Fears:

Fear of being unlovable
Fear of not being worthy or deserving
Fear of being alone
Fear of abandonment

Stage Four: Constrictive Behavior

This will lead you to engage in behavior that keeps you in this constrictive space.

You procrastinate on moving forward with actions that could get you closer to your goals
You engage in self sabotaging behavior
You have addictive behavior which results in overeating, alcohol or substance abuse.
You create drama in your life
You have no patience for other people and get angry easily
You let people step over your boundaries
You surround yourself by people who resonate with your victim story
You live in denial of your current situation
You justify your current state because of the challenges in your life
Your environment becomes chaotic and you have to keep leaving it
You become very disorganized
You start hoarding your money and are focused on scarcity worrying your money will not be replenished.
You focus on your current situation of lack rather than the solutions.

The universe is set up to give you everything you desire by making everything true for you.The challenge is that the universe believes everything you think is truth. Therefore, that means the universe makes true everything for people who are operating in both grid works.If you’re thinking about lack you will attract more lack in your life. If you are thinking about expansion you will attract more of what you want in your life.

Here’s how you make expansion a permanent state.

#1: You must be conscious of all four stages of the rabbit holes that are influencing your life right now. Unfortunately most people are very aware of stage three which is the emotional state of their rabbit hole and stage four the actions they are taking which indicates they have fallen in. They are not aware of stage one – what triggered them and stage two the internal negative beliefs they have.

#2: You have to catch yourself in the first two stages, and before you fall in. You have to be conscious of what triggers you into old patterns of destructive behavior.

#3: You have to use the strategies that work for you in navigating around a potential rabbit hole before you fall in.

#4: You must be accountable for your situation and consciously make different choices. Staying attached to your victim story keeps you stuck in a rabbit hole.

Most people would actually prefer to stay in pain since it is something they are familiar with rather than make a change for the fear of the unknown. They have no idea of the soul space that available to them right now. It’s just some pipe dream that they have been promised exists.

No one can fix you. Instead, what people are really feeling is disconnected from their soul and they are feeling the intensity of the emotions of their rabbit hole which is stage three. And, they are sabotaging their own efforts for success, which is stage four, and they want a cure. However, most people have no idea where their real soul’s home is. They just want to be happier, healthier and wealthier.
