Writing a review of the affiliate product that you are promoting can be highly effective. One word of advice though, don’t be to gushing about the product and say that it has no faults etc, etc. You may be surprised to learn that you will make far more sales of a product if the review that you are writing is deemed as fair. I have read reviews that are basically embarrassing in that it is obvious the affiliate is writing a load of old rubbish in order to get a sale.
If only they knew that if they didn’t give such a biased review, they would get far more sales.

Link Cloaking
Some people believe that if they cloak an affiliate link they are some how being deceiving to the visitors to their website. Nothing could be further from the truth and the fact is that many people are put off clicking on a long affiliate link because it looks suspicious. You will no doubt have seen this type of link many times, it looks ugly and people will not want to click on it. It is better to cloak the link because it will look far more inviting to click on or simply buy a new domain name and redirect it to the affiliate link.

Forums
There are many opportunities to make money from promoting you affiliate link on the online forums. You just have to remember to only promote an affiliate product that is in the same niche as the forum and not to post a link if it is not allowed in that particular forum. There will be plenty of forums that do allow it so don’t try and get a sneaky one in where it is not allowed, it’s just not worth it.
Blogs
Blogs are another brilliant way of making more money as an affiliate. Carry out the necessary research with regard to an in demand niche with limited competition and simply find an affiliate product to match it. Populate the blog with some keyword rich content, promote it and away you go

Keep Track
It’s always a good idea to set aside some time in your busy schedule to check you affiliate links to make sure that they are working. The company that you are promoting may have changed things around and made a mistake with the links or you may have inadvertently made a mistake at some point. It is no good going to all of the hard work in promoting an affiliate product if you are missing out on the sales due to a linking error.

Find what people are looking for
If you take the time to find out what people are looking for online, it is then simply a case of finding an affiliate product to fill their needs. To many people try and do things the opposite way round and try and find a market for their product. Find the market first and you won’t go far wrong.
